The Power Of Connection

Singing has the power to connect people — to themselves, to each other, and to the moment they’re in. Suze's work brings together community singing, workshops, performance, and collaborative projects that are grounded, inclusive, and highly creative.

Across every setting, the invitation is the same: step into voice, rhythm and shared song, and experience the confidence, belonging and energy that can grow when people make music together.

A Life In Song

Suze has been teaching music and singing for many years across a wide range of settings and age groups. Her background includes work in primary schools, tertiary education, community music, workshop facilitation and choir direction.

She has worked as Choral Director at the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium of Music, taught music at Southern Cross University, and led music in schools and communities across New South Wales. Based in Sydney, she leads choirs, singing circles and workshops that invite people more fully into their own musicality.

Alongside her facilitation work, Suze is also a trained TaKeTiNa teacher and experienced performer. As a vocalist, percussionist and singer-songwriter, Suze's practical musicianship continues to inform everything she does.

Workshops

Suze facilitates collaborative singing and rhythm workshops that bring people together in inspiring settings.

From harmony-rich group singing to embodied rhythm practices and creative exploration, these immersive experiences often happen in beautiful regional venues and scenic locales — creating space for connection, expression and shared musical discovery. Drawing at times on her TaKeTiNa training, Suze brings an embodied approach to rhythm that deepens listening, participation and musical awareness.

Choir is my happy place. No matter what sort of day I’ve had I always feel uplifted after a session with Suze. Her warmth, enthusiasm and good humour provides us singers with a safe space to take risks, make mistakes and generally put ourselves out there to be seen and heard without fear of judgment. Suze is vibrant and playful and brings a sense of fun to every rehearsal. We sing, we laugh, we move, we socialise and we sing some more. It’s food for the soul with Suze as the chef!

The project includes a film clip and free downloadable singing resources such as lyrics, score, practice tracks and backing tracks, making it easy for choirs and community groups to learn the song together.
